Blood & Nectar Patch Notes
Patch 0.76Pyrrha, and the Burning Coal
August 27–29, 2026
A new champion built on Icarus's bones, playable on beta and marked Reworking on live: Pyrrha lights five Flames a round, pays the last three in blood, and carries the Burning Coal, a relic that burns whoever holds it and cannot be put down. Vortex gets its clock: every square you are shown is spent, a dry shelf bills 30 / 40 / 50 and up, and the Sphinx turns riddles into forgetting. Sixteen relics leave the shelf. And the arena learns to stop and say what just happened.

Detailed Changes

PPyrrhaNew
Built on Icarus's bones: a repeatable Q priced in an escalating blood toll, a W that doubles what the Q applies, and a passive that stops the toll being the thing that kills her. The one decision the kit exists for is when to press W. Sealed on live, playable on beta.
PSurvivor of the Flood
  • Attacking her has a 25% chance per hit, AoE or direct, to set the attacker alight (+1 Burn, cap 10). Every fire she lights mends her 10% of what it burns off, and her own blood price floors at 1 HP.
QPyre
  • Damage: —⇒60 (+0.55 AP) to the front enemy, +1 Burn (+2 while Fire Form holds, cap 10)
  • Cost: —⇒two casts at 25 Mana, then 10% / 15% / 20% of Max HP
  • Renamed from "Prometheus' Flame", which was already a relic. Burn is 3% of the target's Max HP a tick, the same number every other fire in the game uses.
WFire Form
  • Shields her for every drop of blood her Flames have cost this battle, and for 2 rounds her Flame lights two Burns instead of one. Early buys double fire; late buys a bigger ward. W Q Q Q Q is 8 Burn and no shield; Q Q Q Q W is 4 Burn and 250 shield. 55 Mana.
EBurning Coal
  • Her ultimate is the Coal itself: the same relic, the same rules, and the press costs 100 Momentum.
💣Burning CoalNew
One per champion, not one per field: both sides can draft it, and with both front-liners alight neither line can touch the other without feeding both.
Effect
  • A coal onto the front enemy. 5% of Max HP per stack, every turn, +1 stack a turn. It cannot be tanked: five ticks kill anything.
  • Trade an attack or a heal with a carrier and it is yours. If you both carry, there is nowhere for it to go, so both flare. Healing a carrier also adds +1 per 5% of the bar you put back.
  • 10 stacks bursts 50% of Max HP across the holding team, and it is spent. Death puts it out.
  • Its icon is the bomb, not the rock: the rock has meant petrification since Medusa. The stack count shows on the carrier's card from the first tick; for its first day it did not.
SphinxSSphinxRework
Her AoE was an elixir: Diaspora Vapor decided whether she got to be herself. It is her own kit now, and the mill is real: 5 riddle across three riddled bodies is 15 relics in one cast.
QRiddle
  • Relics burned: one per cast⇒one per Riddle stack cashed in, drawn without replacement
  • On a body carrying her Enigma the question turns on the whole line: damage splits, every enemy's riddle cashes, and the line's pile pays. On an unmarked body she drinks: half of the blow comes back as HP.
  • The Toll: each stack a dry pile cannot answer lands as 4% of that body's Max HP, capped at five stacks. A pile that can pay every stack in cards owes nothing.
  • Confused onto her own line, her own pile pays and her own relics burn. The receipt says so.
PStrife
  • Healing: per riddle spent⇒2% of Max HP per relic forgotten, hers or Lethe's
WEnigma
  • The mark lives on the body, not the caster, so a mirrored Sphinx (Echo) can hold three marks at once. Press W and Q in either order, on either turn. The Enigma Gambit's small numbers are gone.
EchoEEchoAdjusted
Last Word locked shut after one press, and a full Momentum bar bought by an ally left her pressing a lit Q that said "already used".
Last Word
  • Cost: 10 Mana, one of her four casts⇒free, never locks, repeatable while a cast remains; the +15 Momentum is once a round
The Chorus
  • A full bar outranks a spent slot: if the bar is full, the buttons work.
  • She may not mirror Minthe any more: a borrowed Bindweed spends Weaves that nothing refills, so the third one was a dead press.
MedusaMMedusaBuff
Momentum moves in whole crystals now. Twenty-three values across the roster were rounded to the nearest ten; two of them move a cadence.
WContagion
  • Momentum: +5⇒+10
  • A Q+W round lands on 50 instead of 45, so the Gaze arrives on round 2 rather than round 3.
QVenom
  • The card said +33 Momentum; it has always been +10, and the card now says so.
IcarusIIcarusBuff
The other cadence the rounding moved.
QShrapnel
  • Momentum on a repeat: +5⇒+10
  • A six-shot round banks 60 again. His W is the dial if that proves too fast.
ProteusPProteusAdjusted
Transformed into Echo, Proteus cast one W and every remaining button refused him: the chorus only works for Echo herself.
Metamorphosis
  • Echo can no longer be rolled, by his own Metamorphosis or by the Sigil. A copy wearing a copy was never going to work.
MMinotaurAdjusted
Two tanks with one passive is one tank.
PFused Blood Reactor
  • "Momentum when hit, reflects 5%" is gone: that is Leonidas' Spartan Resolve. His identity is Iron Stance, the shield that mends his line off what it absorbs.
🌊Waters of LetheRework
Retired for returning your own whole Tartarus, back off the shelf pointed the other way: now it is they who forget.
Effect
  • Effect: your whole Tartarus returns to the pile⇒three relics leave the ENEMY pile and sink into their Tartarus, never dealt to them again
  • Cost: free⇒25% of current HP
⚖️Scales of DikeAdjusted
Dike is justice, and the scales weigh what has been spent.
Effect
  • A Sphinx Q under the Scales cashes in every enemy AND every ally: if Pandemonium riddled your own line, your own pile pays for it.
  • On top of the split, the two ledgers are levelled: if you have burned twelve and they have spent four, the difference comes out of their pile. It takes, never gives, and pays nothing while you are the one who has spent less.
  • Fixed: when the only riddled bodies were on her own side, the Scales ate every stack and burned nothing.
🎼Pipes of PanBuff
An enemy on an empty bar was the one line the panic could not touch.
Effect
  • The siphon goes past zero into DEBT: red crystals filling from the left, one per 10 owed, and nothing clears it but regen. Still 1× per battle, still 30% of Max HP from your whole line.
🗿The Riddle StoneAdjusted
The relic asked everyone and then answered nobody.
Effect
  • It leaves the Enigma mark on every champion it riddles, both teams, her own line included: the price of asking a question you are standing inside of. Costs 50% of current HP.
🌀Metamorphosis SigilNerf
It could never be burned out of the pile, so a shelf could never truly run dry.
Effect
  • It sinks into Tartarus like every other relic once used. Proteus transforms with his own Q; the Sigil only copies that trick, so he loses nothing.
☀️Wax of IcarusBuff
The flask handed back the permission and not the means.
Effect
  • It pays for the press it re-opens: one free Q or W. Before, a Sphinx who re-opened a 55-Mana Enigma while holding 36 Mana got a lit button that refused every press.
  • Drunk before you act, it banks the press instead of refusing and refunding: your next Q or W is free and does not spend its slot.
🗑️Sixteen off the shelfNerf
Retired on both environments, visible in the codex greyed: Burden of Atlas, Panacea's Draught, Hydra's Bile, Blessing of Iris, Lyre of Apollo, Gauntlet of Heracles, Wand of Circe, Eye of Helios, Blessing of Selene, Token of Charon, Aegis of Bia, The Nectar Tithe, Spilled Libation, Mercy of Eleos, Sphere of the Elements, Elemental Shift.
The shelf
  • Live relics: 67⇒51, shelves 15 / 21 / 15
  • The Coin for Charon inherits the ferryman's name and ticket wherever the Token is shelved.
⚙

SYSTEMS

🔥 Pyrrha
Five Flames a round, the last three paid in blood, and a Fire Form that wants to be pressed early and late at once. Playable on beta; Reworking on live.
💣 The Burning Coal
Burns its carrier 5% a turn and grows; touch a carrier and it is yours; ten stacks burst across the holding team. Nowhere safe to put it down.
⏳ The Shelf Is the Clock
Every square shown is spent, a gate is a "not now" rather than an empty pile, and the first dry draw costs 30% of Max HP, climbing 10 a draw to 70.
🎭 The Arena Takes a Breath
Eliminations get a title, burned relics are struck off and fall into Tartarus, a strip names each relic as it fires, and a refused press says why where the button is.
🖼️ Modern+
The acting champion stands behind the board at full bleed, and the room says whose turn it is. Live gets Classic and Modern; beta keeps all four looks.
🚪 Three Doors
Discord, Guest, and Google under a divider. The portrait is a menu with a sign out at last, and the splash becomes a loading screen nobody has to dismiss.
⚗️ Their Shelf, Your Shelf
Two klepsydras: left is you, right is them, the upper chamber drains into the lower, and each carries what the next dry draw will cost.
