Blood & Nectar Patch Notes
Patch 0.78Harpy Takes the Sky, and the Key Buys Time
September 3–5, 2026
Ariadne's Reweave stops asking which seat and starts asking which enemy, and then the whole needle-and-thread kit walks over to a new sister. Harpy is a bench champion who cannot strike the enemy across her at all; Ariadne keeps the hooks · Twin Hooks, Pierce, Gore · and is sealed on live while it is looked at. The Stygian Key's ward finally shows on the board and buys a turn instead of a kill, the Underworld Breach inverts every tick and relic too, and the Purifying Draught stops answering a whole round for a tenth of you.

Detailed Changes
HHarpyNew
One rule flipped and nothing about the two plays alike. She borrows Ariadne's art and voice for now. Not released: she lives on the demo board.
PNever Look Down
- Slot-locked: she strikes only the enemy directly across her; Reweave to move. One Needle in hand and four Reweaves a round. Weaver: anything that is not a Needle, a Reweave, a relic, an elixir, puts the Needle back in her hand, and a Needle never refreshes itself. Every kill hands back a Reweave. Down to one enemy the lock lifts.
QNeedle Strike
- Damage: —⇒40 (+0.3 AD) and 1 Bleed (cap 5), her only source of Bleed
- Only a first strike on a body opens a wound; the same hole twice is less damage, no stack, and the blood goes into her.
WReweave
- Aim: a teammate's seat⇒an ENEMY: she cuts them on the way past (45 +0.3 AD, no Bleed) and lands in the slot facing them, displacing whichever ally stood there
- The Needle comes back with her, so the round is Q · W · Q · W · Q. The cut does not count as a Needle strike, so the Q after it lands fresh. Grants no Momentum.
EShred
- Doubles the Bleed on every bleeding enemy (cap 5) and hands back a Needle and a Reweave. On the one across her, whatever will not fit eviscerates for 45 (+0.35 AD) each. 100 Momentum.
AAriadneRework
The needle kit went to Harpy in place, key for key, and Ariadne took the wings. The champion now enforces its own fantasy instead of asking the player to role-play it: diving is how she gets a target bleeding AND how she puts them out of her own range. Sealed on live for the rework, the first released champion ever to be.
PRed Thread
- The wind carries her past the enemy directly across her: every hook lands on one of the OTHER slots. She holds one Twin Hooks and two Pierces; a Pierce puts the hooks back. The only thing that can reach the enemy in front of her is her ultimate.
QTwin Hooks
- Damage: —⇒two talons at two random enemies, never the one across her, 35 (+0.25 AD) each and 1 Bleed
- Both bodies are left TETHERED, lit pink: those are the two Pierce can reach. Renamed from Rake.
WPierce
- Casts: three⇒two
- One of the two tethered enemies for 50 (+0.35 AD) and 2 Bleed, landing in that slot and switching places with the ally who stood there. The hooks come back and both tethers snap. Aims at the weaker of the pair by default. Renamed from Dive.
EGore
- The only thing she can aim across her: she spends the whole Momentum bar as Bleed, one stack per 10, and the stacks that will not fit under the cap REND for 40 (+0.3 AD) each. Renamed from Stoop. Gated at 10 Momentum this week, raised to the full bar two days later.
Sound and picture
- New blade-and-feather effects: a silver blade going to aqua, and feathers that are blades themselves. Twin Hooks is three cuts, Pierce one heavy stoop, Gore fourteen in a burst.
MMedusaBuff
A champion she had not touched yet was sealed for free and walked straight out of her ultimate, relic and elixir and all.
EGorgon's Gaze
- The stone works 2 Poison into everyone it catches, and the break-out toll floors at those same 2 stacks: 20% of Max HP.
PPhoenixAdjusted
Her Q only armed the pyre once it had fully resolved, so a cast cut short left the ultimate she was saving mending the enemy team.
QPromethean Fire
- The pyre is armed the moment Q is pressed. Q says which way it turned, the way W always has. A repeated cast makes its impact sound every time; only the spoken line is rationed.
PProteusAdjusted
He was wearing someone else's kit through two allies' turns and paid the heal long after the damage that earned it.
QMetamorphosis
- A borrowed form drops at the end of HIS OWN turn, not his side's round, and Reclamation pays then.
AAsclepiusAdjusted
Sealed, but his passive echoes whatever an ally drinks.
PHippocratic Bond
- The echoed Purifying Draught reads the same three-stacks-for-20% the flask does. Tuning only the flask would have made the echo strictly better than drinking one.
🗝️Stygian KeyRework
An enemy walked out of a bought turn on 1 HP and the board offered no reason; the only trace was one line in the log.
Effect
- Pay 90% of current HP to act again. For the rest of the turn your side is taking, nothing it hits can be reduced below 1 HP.
- It is the TEAM's ward, not the presser's: an ally acting after you cannot close the kill either. Allies are never spared. It dies with the holder. It lasts your side's turn, not the round.
- Whoever you struck carries a reprieve off the board: nothing may take them below 1 until they have taken their action, so a burn cannot finish them before they answer. Any source, spent the moment they act.
- Everyone the Key spares wears a violet veil, a pulsing rim and the glyph; the holder wears the glyph alone. Only the struck, not everyone standing near it.
🕳️Underworld BreachAdjusted
Only abilities knew the floor was open. In the reported match Medusa's poison phase killed four champions, herself among them, in the round the board was announcing that wounding and mending had swapped places.
Effect
- Duration: two rounds, then one side turn⇒one full round: the turn it was pressed on and the enemy turn after it
- Every poison, bleed and burn tick inverts into one mend. Relics and elixirs invert too. A body already inverting on its own (Shadow Realm, the Helm) is left alone.
- The board says so: a violet-and-acid wash behind the cards and a badge on the VS medallion naming the relic. Every inverted hit names the relic and shows the mend in green.
🔥Prometheus' FlameNerf
A Sphinx on 1 HP pressed it eleven times in a round, "paying" 211 HP a press out of a bar that could not go lower.
Effect
- The toll has to leave you standing: a press the price would not survive is refused. The veiled drink it, so they are exempt.
🧼Purifying DraughtNerf
One press undid a whole round of accumulated pressure at a price a healthy champion never felt.
Effect
- Strip: everything, for 10% Max HP⇒up to 3 debuff stacks, for 20% Max HP
- Hard CC goes last, so a budget spent on DoTs cannot break a stun for free. Still drinks free from inside a seal, still refunds when there is nothing to remove, still never touches the Poison that prices Medusa's stone.
🦋Soul ShieldNew
Soul Shield meant Momentum and cost blood. The name goes to a flask that actually spends a soul.
Effect
- Spend ALL your Momentum. Every ally standing BESIDE you is warded for 3× what you spent (100 Momentum = 300 shield each). Nothing for you. Beside means the seats next to yours: the middle seat wards both, an end seat wards one, which is what keeps it from being a strictly better Aegis Tonic.
💠Brotherhood of BloodAdjusted
The old Soul Shield, under its right name. Your inventory keeps it.
Effect
- Sacrifice 20% of your Max HP and split it evenly as shield across your allies.
